ImagineFun - Minecraft Disneyland Recreation
ImagineFun is the most accurate full-scale digital recreation of Disneyland in Minecraft. It features dozens of completely functional rides with animatronics and soundtracks, thousands of custom-made 3D models and textures, a seamless and fully-explorable map, working cosmetics like hats and pins, and more. It's been a passion project between my friends and I for the last several years.
The park layout itself was created entirely by hand, primarily referencing google earth as well as various blueprints collected around the web. Ride layouts were similarly reconstructed from a multitude of sources. Models are also hand-made in a JSON format that is compatible with Minecraft's resource pack feature, allowing us to implement things as large as full-size ride vehicles to things as small as collectible hats for players to spend coins on. Each of us has spend thousands of hours animating, building, modeling, texturing, and writing code to make this project a reality. 3D models are all created to match with Minecraft's pixel/voxel graphic style.
Because it requires no mods, we are able to host it as a server than can be joined and experienced by anyone playing the Java Edition of Minecraft.

Cars Land buttes and rockwork, built by hand based off of Google Earth 3D scans of the park. Players can admire them from all angles while riding Radiator Springs Racers.
Pixar Pier. Using various plugins, the rollercoaster in the back can actually make a full loop and turn upside-down which is impossible in vanilla Minecraft.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout, a drop ride in DCA. A custom ride system had to be programmed to accommodate the vertical nature of this thrill ride.
One of the custom-modeled boats for the Jungle Cruise, overtaken by animatronic monkeys. Using a custom solution, we are able to have moving/animated animatronics on the server that sync with ride soundtracks and audio.
Rides, restaurants, and even bathrooms have been recreated in detail. The River Belle Terrace, for example, has custom-modeled/textured chairs.
